Most 86 928s are auto trans. It's not fun if you want to drive a sport car. The car like you are talking about is only about $6k or less. Try to search 928 in cars.com. There are a bunch of them under 6k.
928 and 944t is about same price and hp range. I don't know which one handles better and costs more to maintain. I think there are a few guys on this BB have 928. Ask them. I'm interested to marry a 944t or 928 too. 928 does look better, I think.
