M, love those pics! And I am working, BTW. Mostly... Haven't been on Pelican in a very long time but lately I've been feeling more like my old self so the gears in my head are spinning once again.

gilmore27: I was run off the road one New Year's Eve by some bloke driving a welding truck. Same scenario as you describe: snowstorm, nighttime, limited visibility and very slick. My 944 dealt with the off-road excursion really well, but the best part was that the guy driving the truck in such a rush to get home (and driving like a twit) got a call from the Samaritan who stopped to help me and had to drive back out to where he ran me off to help pull me out. Kismet. I subsequently got much better tires, but I don't really miss winter-driving my 944s.

I do know that at -35C the tranny oil gets so thick you'd swear you were rowing gears in chunky peanut butter, and the heater, while barely able to keep the windows clear, couldn't get me toasty until the car had been running for what seemed like ages.
