a swimming pool?! so sad.

i think what gets a dog in a swimming pool is trying to get out. we had a lab that was a strong strong swimmer. (he won a friendly contest amongst friends we call the "annual lab-off")

he jumped in a pool and we saw the panic set in as he tried to get out. i jumped in fully dressed and led him to the stairs. after that, he was good to go..we would come home and find him swimming just because he wanted to. it was tough on the water filter.

and i disgree with the above. i dont think a dog can be supervised 24/7. i wouldnt be able to own a dog under such strict criteria.
