Oh, two other things I thought of that I did to bring it closer to the current:
LED instrument lights
Rewired the car to get rid of all all power going through the ignition switch. Used a new scheme utilizing modern relays and ATC fuses. I made sure all circuits were fuse protected and removed most splices.
