Very cool. Mine was very well used when I picked it up, long before any of these became "collectible". I can't believe I'm seeing these, with far more "patina" than even mine, going for $700-$800 or more at the gun shows these days. K22's easily double that. For a stinkin' .22 revolver - I think I paid something like a hundred bucks for this one. Shoots great though.
My go-to .22, the one I carry when out hunting that I use as my "grouse gun", is a Single Six I bought in 1981, on my 21st birthday, just because I could. It's actually a bit more accurate than the S&W.
My most accurate .22 is my old High Standard Sport King. I bought it back when nobody was even giving these things a second look. Everyone wanted the Ruger. This one is kind of big and heavy as a holster .22, but it's all but "match accurate".
Sure am glad I'm able to shoot these as much as I want again.
