Okay, believe it or not, I was waiting for a seagull reference:
I knew of a guy (didn't know him personally), who went down to Ensenada. He was in a restaurant, and ordered fish tacos. He ate, enjoyed - for a few seconds - then became so ill, they had to airlift him over the border to San Diego. They "opened" him up, even, because what he ate wasn't digesting - you guessed it: seagull.
I heard the guy remained sick for years.
