Because they have caused a stir since they first appeared. One of those cars that crosses brand loyalty lines. A car that dealers can ask a er.."price adjustment" for two years after introduction.
All black and no stripes gave it a very appealing sinister & menacing look...one you'd never forget if it appeared in your mirror.
