In 2010 my next door neighbor come home with a Boxster beater that he wanted me to evaluate. One lap around the block told me that its front-end, bearings, or something else up there was about to go! Wouldn't track straight.
That got me to thinking. I sold my last Porsche in about 1972, at that time about 37 years prior. So I went to E-Slay and started to look. I found a very good looking 1973 911T in Canada and made a couple of bids. Somehow I hit the guy's reserve at the end of the auction and by today's standards it was a steal.
So my late wife and I flew up there to SK and handed him a check. We drove her 750 miles home with little problem, except with the Nazis at the border!! I've put as much as I paid for it again into little fix-em ups, and some big ones. She's a very nice car. I've swapped out the Cookies for a set of Fuchs. Paint is perfect and I can't find any rust. Sadly it's about time to sell her.
