There are dietary tricks you can do to look more cut, as delineated above. Fast a day a week, where you just drink water and some juice so you get some calories. About all I do is walk the dog and play basketball with a 10 year old a few days a week.

Everyone should do some ab work daily. I never used to do that, until I was in a car wreck, then I sort of had to, just do the maintenance stuff for that. For the abs to look good, you just have to drop fat. I am fortunate in that I can still drop weight fairly easily. Body weight is not always the best metric to track, particularly if you are lifting weights sort of fit. Muscle is more dense than fat. When I was going to school, I commuted by bicycle, and rode in the headlands every weekend when I was in San Francisco. I was right around 200, with thighs that were about as big as my waist, which makes it tough to buy pants, but I was very fit, could play full court basketball all day long. After a few hours, you'd run out of people that could keep up, but new ones would come along.
