At the top of the list for me is my 986 Boxster. Why?

Low barrier to entry: It's cheap enough to own and operate that it is a good gateway car to introduce new people to the Porsche marque and the car hobby in general. Yet, it is still new enough to feature such conveniences like electric tops, functional AC and somewhat modern safety features

Not to mention, it came at a time when Porsche needed a sales boost and arguably put the company in a position financially to develop the products it sells today.

Plus, it's just fun to drive. ...and that exhaust note!
