If you can get the licence plate number of the truck and give it to your insurance company, chances are you will get a new windshield for very little co-pay and they'll go after HIS insurance for it.
Last time I got my windshield replaced (2 months ago) they asked me when and where it got broken and if I suspected any other vehicles were involved. I told them I had no idea, just noticed it was cracked one day.
it cost me less than $100 to have them come to my house, would have been almost free if I went to their shop.
