Full glass was always included at no charge in my policies when I was there anyway.
I had the back glass replaced in my '71 Targa for 'free' after the neighbor kid accidentally broke it. That would have been an expensive fix.

Sorry, I re-read my first post and realized that I did not describe the highway clearly. It was on the I-5 in Oregon, 2 lanes in each direction separated by a wide median. Not a two lane highway.
Speed limit was 70, nobody was speeding this time. One of the things that peeved me was that the guy was a left lane squatter and he was impeding the smooth passing of people following the *drive in the right/pass on left* rule, which is actually a law. I adhere strictly to this on the interstate where it's a combination of truck traffic and cars. The semis follow it religiously, so it's really dangerous when others do not. He kicked up the rock when he crossed in front of me to exit.
My feeling is that if his tire kicked it up, tough tuna fish. If he had loose gravel on his truck, different story.
