Gammo is cheap Spanish junk. Their velocity claims are made with their super light for caliber composite pellets. Their velocities lag terribly with lead pellets of standard weight for the caliber in question. That, and their build quality is far, far below that of a quality German or English made example. Serious airgunners readily acknowledge that Gammos have a finite lifespan of a few thousand rounds at most, before something breaks. They are probably one of the better lower to mid range brands, and just fine for a casual shooter who is not going to shoot it much, but they just will not hold up like the higher quality German or English guns. There is no magic in air guns - you very much get what you pay for, as in many things in our lives.
