Hmm...All's I see is "U.S. Colonel David Hogg said the army is using tougher methods of intelligence-gathering, citing as an example the U.S. abduction of an Iraqi officer's wife and daughter in order to convince the man, a lieutenant general, to turn himself in. Hogg said the wife and daughter would have been released; however, the man turned himself in (Thomas Ricks, Washington Post, July 28)."

I don't see nothin' about no torture.

Frankly, I prefer this method: "Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sumb!tch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife. All his friends. Burn his damn house down."

Now that's a deterrent.
