You can roll back miles but there should be many signs to look for.
1. you can't roll back years. If you have a 5 year old Ferrari with 500 miles you still need to show it was serviced regularly, so do you fake all those receipts with appropriate mileage, remove the entry for that new clutch you needed after 8,000 miles?
2. If the brake pedal pad was replaced, kind of odd for 500 stated miles
3. Bolts in a slightly different position with no service record mention
4. Carpet wear, button use, sun fade, road rash, tire wear (or lack), windshield pitting etc. etc.

I could see hiding a cheat from 10K miles to 5k but to go to zero requires a both a completely dishonest seller, dealer and a naive buyer with no independent inspection.
