I have not done anything yet. These were just my thoughts since I'm not really sure the best way to go about it. We're both concerned about doing this the safest way. The PPI was done at a local shop that services Porsches and other German cars. He did suggest this shop along with a local dealer where the car has been serviced. I didn't have much luck locating any other shops in the area. I searched here as well. I spoke to the shop both before and after and received a pretty comprehensive report. Up until this point, I've had no reason to believe anything scammish is going on. Is it completely abnormal to do a deal remote without going out to see the car? I purchased a 996 a few years ago, sight unseen, but it was through an independent dealer.
