Oh great.

The IT Director just sent me an email to stop implementing Mobile Device Management, MDM.
He doesn't think we need to mess with it because all the company mobile phones are stipend. The company pays monthly for employees that use their phone for business but the employees own their phone. Said we could just turn off active sync.

Had to explain that now that the company does not own the phones we need to use MDM more than before. Before when an employee left the company they turned in their phone. If the did not turn it in we bricked it. Now when they leave the company they also carry off all the emails and documents on their phones.

Plus enrolling them in MDM gives us the opportunity to easily produce a list of who has a phone or tablet accessing the company email/files.

Why is this guy in charge of IT?
