When I watch old movies I always pay attention to the art that they used to decorate the sets. A lot of the artists that worked for the studios in the old days turned out to become rather famous. Years ago I talked to a gal who owned a movie prop business that bought a room full of paintings from one of the studios for cheap. She was wondering about the artists and their values. She could have been sitting on a gold mine?
I also know Sterling Silver, art glass, ceramics, furniture and rugs. Or at least know enough to get by on.
