As far as the 924/944/968 boards go, Rennlist gets way more traffic. However, I think the content of the posts are similar. I like Pelican due to its smaller size and my famiiarity with it. Pelican was the first 944 board I came across, and I kinda stuck to it. Sure, Rennlist is bigger, but that also means the flame wars that erupt are bigger, and there are more off-topic posts. Case in pont: the 'ignore' thread which turned into 2000+ posts of mindless rambling before it was mercifully laid to rest. Also, in terms or tech expertise, I think Pelican is every bit the match for Rennlist. With guys like SoCal, AFJuvat, Britwrench, and others, I think Pelican is very hard to beat. I still go to Rennlist quite often, even though I don't post there, and plan to purchase a membership there, just because it remains a great community of enthusiasts.
As far as the 911 boards, I've noticed like the others here that the Pelican boards seem far superior in regard to pre-964 models, while the newer car owners usually frequent Rennlist.
