Good save Richard.
Well as expected driving the 2017 modern SUV vehicle is a LOT different than my mid 1980s cars. Who wouda thunk.
It is very quiet and since we are in break-in period I can't push the fun pedal much. It is still pretty zippy. I got on the interstate for a whole mile and it is spooky how it shifts. Since I was easy on the throttle I just watched as the speed increased and the tach that is properly place front and center would just go up to 3,500 RMP and then silently drop like a stone 1,000 RPM. There was no noticeable shift just the tach dropped 1,000 RPM and it did that as the shift indicator counted up to 7. The steering was just like my 911. Super precise only power assisted so at slow speed it is still easy to steer. The leather seats have about a million positions from lumbar to the seat bottom extending out. They are also heated and cooled front and rear.
The lane assist is something that deliberately tested by getting close to the center line. It has low a vibration buzz to warn you. The cameras front and rear come on at parking speeds. Oh yea, it smells good too.
I guess we will keep it.
