we are dog sitting. that means we are walking a small poodle into the dark hours hoping for the thing to take a crap. i watched that thing run into the house after we taught it to use our dog doors; and proceed to piss in my kitchen. it is unclear on the concept for sure.

anyways it was dark. wife and i had head lamps. just walking around our neighborhood. i hear. "can you help? i am lost!"
i see an old lady walking around. she had this ancient RAYOVAC incandescent flashlight. she tells us her address and i had no idea where that was. we are new to the hood. street did sound familiar. we didnt have our smart-phones. so..we walk her to our place. she was a good solid walker. she was telling us of her husband, and wondering if he was out looking for her...and how she had to take care of his mother. i did some quick math, profiling her, and figured her MIL was about 100 years old. this lady was maybe 85. we get her into a car, and google her address and drive her there. she was waaaaayyyy off. way off for walking. she said she was visiting friends and they dropped her off at the corner. huh?

anyways she didnt recognize her home. a uttered a thank prayer when her garage door opened the door we were parked at.

the garage was a mess. not stuffed but weird stuff everywhere. no man stuff. i dont think there was a husband. no lights were on, no evidence of a car, no evidence of a MIL for sure. we dropped her off at an empty house.

it was weird. i sure has hell hope she doesnt go all "cable guy" on us now that she has seen our house.
