Yep. So, I mended my ways.
What's kind of Ironic is that McQueen never personally owned a Mustang. The movie cars were made that way to make both identical for the screen. Two highland green cars were bought, but with different trim, so the "Bullitt Mustang" was created. Mustang was selected because it was considered a car a cop might drive. According to his first wife, McQueen did buy her a Mustang, but she didn't like it. She moved into a Mercedes, if I remember correctly.
Today...an icon car. Go figure.
