Tiptronic "flaring"

My Cayman has this thing where sometimes it seems like someone is playing with the clutch - cruising at roughly the same speed the revs go up a couple hundred revs then settle back.
Porsche dealership says this is called "flaring" and isn't serious. I've had the transmission serviced (fluid + filter) but no change at all.
Anyone know of the most cost effective way to stop this from happening?
