Question:
I have a new vehicle that just had the windshield replaced under warranty due to a visual flaw in the laminate safety glass. The vehicle is metallic silver in color.
When the "tech" at the dealer replaced the windshield he proceeded to go way overboard with the black liquid urethane primer that gets painted down on the lip seam before the urethane adhesive is applied. When I stand at the front of the vehicle, you can see the black primer- looks terrible.
My question is
if and how this stuff can be removed. I think this stuff is pretty nasty and probably has eaten into the clearcoat by now. What I am showing in the images below is the black primer up in the top corners of the windshield, not actual sealant.
Thoughts?
