The way it was explained to me is that if you put the solids on the trans and not on the engine, then the engine can still move and put too much stress on the trans bolts and mount.

But if you put the solids on the engine then it reduces the movement and allows the vibrations that would be felt in the shifter to be tamed down by the club mounts on the trans.

Who really knows until you try something and it works or breaks....

Ours has been solid motor/club trans for a year with no issues other than the buzzy feeling. And I am not easy on the car
