I dunno about best practice, just whats worked for me after some trial and error.

I liked using the breather cover because it is easy to remove to tap it, it doesnt mess with any oil under pressure, andd and is hidden from view. I also like that its really a core temp measurement, not just a singular point on one cylinder head. For cylinder head temps I use an actual light aircraft 6-channel switchable CHT sensor under each spark plug.

Infortunately I am having trouble calibrating the stock one for Megasquirt in ohms. I have it in ADCs for Adaptronic.
