Don't know what to tell you. As I said, my 03 Tip has never done that. A few times when I've been driving on very slippery roads (think ice storm) with my wheels spinning madly the ABS light has come on, it seems to have gotten confused. Power cycling cleared that up.
Sure sounds like the trans is slipping.
You may want to try other forums with more traffic. 986forum.com is a place to start, and Pelican owns it now
