The new coatings a great, much better than just waxing.
Would make absolutely sure that a very detailed job of paint correction and polishing be done BEFORE the coating. Then after the coating has had a chance to cure, keep it quick waxed. That way road contaminants and micro scratches (smudges and swirls) will be in the quickwax and easily taken care of. You will be waxing and maintaining the coating and NOT the paint.
