Hoping someone here might be a European gear head, or know someone who is. I need the part circled in the photo. The motor was used on a Mercedes 813 truck with the OM352 motor, (my have been used on other models) which was not sold here in the US. It is the down turned cast alum. air intake, which is bolted to the valve cover. I have the valve cover already, just need the intake. I see photos of motors in stacked like cord wood in junk yards in Europe on the internet. But when I contact them, I get no reply. I guess its not worth their effort for such a small part. I need this for my turbo Unimog 416 Doka project. So are there any true gearheads here who like me, enjoy going to junk yards and doing their own work? And are willing to help a guy out? I will of course pay all expenses on this, and throw in a little extra for a few beers! Let me know if you can help.
