Kits fill a void for those hard to find cars. Old Porsche Spyder, 935, RSR. Cars that were not mainstream and only popular to true enthusiasts. Additionally a replica or "Tribute car" is built on a genuine platform. (Taking a 72 Chevy Chevelle to an SS for example) There are tons of 911, 912 and 930's available, so to build an entire fiberglass version of an extremely popular widely available car is simply making a cheap knock-off. Besides....the kits in this thread are horrendous.
