Not sure about the 914 with a boxster trans. I know that Renagade Hybrids did a 914LS with a 6 speed . I am in the process of installing a 996 LSD
trans in my 911 LS swap. Everything went well with install but with many mods, still so far all good. Just wasn't very confident with the 915 trans with so much torque.
