chain tensioner, why different parts?
I just replaced the two chain tensioners on my 997 Turbo. There are two different part numbers, and the parts look identical. Can someone tell me...
1. What are the differences between the two?
2. Which way does the nipple point, up or down on left, and on the right?
Needless today, I was very careful to observe which way the old ones point and installed the new ones that way, but one side is now making a lot of clanking noise just like a tensioner not getting enough oil in it.
The oil line on the left is attached to the top of the tensioner cover whereas the oil line on the right does not attach to the tensioner cover (which points down)
