I do understand that it is very difficult to sort through the what is true and what isn't and the desire to find something to cure ailments/ease pain/etc. causes people to be more open to "try new things". The reality is there is a huge enterprise out there of people selling products that simply don't work and "ozone therapy" is one of them.
I have osteoarthritis in my knees from years of running (in combination with bad genetics, most likely). I would love for one of these "treatments" to help as much or more than the next guy, but they simply don't. I "researched" glucosamine on the internet a while back and thought it was odd that there appeared to be a discrepancy - clinical trials showed no evidence that it worked (or the results were ambiguous at best) yet "personal testimonies" raved about how great it worked. During one of the visits with my orthopedic surgeon, I asked him what he thought about glucosamine. He laughed.
That pretty much summed it up...
If you'd like to try ozone therapy or essential oils or glucosamine or acupuncture or whatever, that's fine - it's your money. Just be aware that there is no scientific evidence that any of these actually work - only personal testimonies.

I agree 100%
When my hip started hurting several people urged me to try glucosamine. I bought a bottle and it was a two for one sale but still rather expensive. I used it for a year and finally realized they only thing it was helping was to empty my checking account. My orthopedic surgeon had the same reaction when I asked him about glucosamine. He said the placebo effect is a well documented and proven effect. The mind can do more to heal a body than any other treatment.
A new titanium hip cured my pain. I am only upset that I waited so long to do it.
At dinner the other night we ate with a some good friends. The wife of the couple at one point said "My acupuncturist says we should chew our food until it is virtually liquid" and I almost did a spit take. I almost told her my pet unicorn says that hay is the best cure for stomach problems. I just bit my tongue and nodded. Then she went on to say "your mom told you to chew your food 40 times" and I did reply she also told me I could NOT get in the water to swim for 30 minutes after I ate or I would get cramps and drown, and to not go outside with my head wet or I would catch pneumonia and die.
