Check the feet daily and go to the wound care podiatrist every 3 months. He is and was a friend. Interesting that my foot doctor referred me to him.
Have custom shoes with insoles to keep from getting pressure sores. Insurance only pays for 1 pair a year.
Wear compression socks, they are expensive. Also coat my legs with some greasy steroid goop twice a day to keep the veins from popping..
Go to my eye doc every 6 months, but see the retina specialist every 2 months. It was monthly for a while. Get shoots in the eye to keep the veins from swelling an popping. Was part of a drug study the first two years that they paid for the drugs, appointments, etc. and got paid $25 every time I got a shot. Think the drug is called Avastin. My right eye is doing pretty well and I see 20/25 after treatment and cataract surgery. The left eye has been hemorrhaging and after 2 surgeries seems to have stopped but is taking a LONG time for the eye to clear out all the blood that was pooled in the bottom of my eyeball. So still can't count my fingers in front of my face with the left eye.
Have a list of anit-biotics on my drug allergy list.
