I've owned multiple Porsches (911,993, 951, 981S), but my 2004 S2000 was/is the best car I have ever owned. I'm on my second 2004 S2000 now, after putting 275K miles on my first 2004 and then selling it to a friend who converted it a dedicated track car (with the original engine). The maintenance on the S2K is minimal and inexpensive for the type of fun you can with the car. The DIY things that I did were fluid changes, plugs, brakes, and a clutch swap every 95K miles. Amazing reliability.
I still own a 993, 951 and the S2000. All great fun cars. If I had to have one as a DD/track car, it would have to be the S2000.
