My Thermostat is part of Electric Company deal. Cools down the house extra before a hot afternoon in the summer, then turns off the A/C during the hot part of the day. I only noticed it getting hot one or two days and just turned on the AC. Because the Electric company lowers it's rate during the summer if you use this thermostat my electric bill was about $200 cheaper last summer comparing to the year before.

The ADT alarm installer said something about getting a thermostat that would be controllable with the wireless control of the alarm system. When I mentioned the thermostat from the electric company he said he personally uses a Nest. Says he didn't think it would help much, but after it learned their habits it saved them $100 more than the electric company one, even with the higher electricity rates.
