Mine does that without the cameras. Have 2 wired smoke detectors since I have bedrooms at either end of the house. Said before I had system was for the medical alert button and now was wanting to protect the 928. They wanted to put both a motion detector and camera in the garage, and a sensor on the overhead door. Went with just he overhead door sensor.

The overhead door sensor is mounted so if someone tries to push the top open enough to stick in a wire to try to hook and pull the opener release (which is wire tied), it will set off the alarm.

About the only way to make it more secure would be to put in an electrical latch that bolts the door shut when it is closed. I saw the openers like Glen has that turn the rods with the springs at the top of the door has an electrical latch and a battery backup so you can get in/out when the power goes out.
