May have to rethink my alarm. The shortest time they will let me have the alarm go off from the overhead door is 1 minute. Even though the delay coming in the front door is 30 seconds and it is across the house. Then they call my cell phone. Then they call the cops. Thats at least 4 minutes for a policeman to be on the scene.
When we had the medical alert my Mom forgot what it was and pressed the button. Within 15 seconds we got a call from the security company. I answered the phone, gave them my code and told them she pressed the button by accident. Within 30 seconds of hanging up the phone a saw a police officer drive by. Then he stopped and came to the door to make sure everything was okay.
That means the police reacted to the alarm when it first went off and didn't wait for the alarm company to call to see if it was a false alarm.
If I am looking at 4 minutes as a response time, just afraid the car would be gone.
They also said my address was in Edmond not OKC and Edmond does not require permits like OKC. Am going to have to call OKC and find out because my property is in OKC, but has an Edmond address. Get an OKC water/garbage bill but is Edmond Fire/Police.
