Have any of you been to Rally Finland / the 1000 Lakes Rally?
I really like Scandinavia and my girlfriend adores it. On our last trip I said, "hey how about we go to this rally in the Finnish Lake District?" and she is happy to do it because it's in the Lake District and she can visit the Alvar Aalto house again (I'd like to see that, too) and etc. etc.
The rally seems like fun to me but I have no idea what WRC rallies are like as a spectator experience other than that you spend a lot of time standing arsound in the woods. The only Rally I've been to was whatever POR is called these days, in the northern lower peninsula of Michigan in 1999.
There are some really nice airfares to Finland right now, but I wouldn't mind some beta from people who have done the Rally, or rallies in Europe.
