I am a major Blues hound and have spent many hours listening to most of the great Blues axe slingers. JB certainly has world-class chops and there are several live tracks he has done that I like a lot. I can't sit through a whole CD though. Something is missing and I can't quite put my finger on it but after a few songs I find JB a bit tiring and no longer drawing me in to the music. I don't feel that intimate connection to his playing like so many others. I do think some of his latest stuff that is more stripped down may be some of his best.

I can't knock the guy as there is no accounting for musical taste. Simply different strokes and if his playing moves you, enjoy!
