Actually, scratch that. Take the valve cover off and check cam timing mark against TDC mark on crank. Should have one. Then pull the head, most likely.

This is what I need to hear. Sigh.
Kind of a pimp job to the customer to tell him to junk the car without prima facie evidence even if I "think" I know.
However, I will nail timing and pull the leakdown test first.
