The problem that set this whole thing off was the blue/yellow wire that supplies power to several of the gauges,(fuel, oil pres, oil temp, tach, oil level) has continuity to ground and continuity to the power side also. It's getting it's continuity to ground at this thur body plug from the yellow/red wire inside the plug. According to the wiring diagram the blue/yellow should be clean power from the ignition switch.
