Really do not know if the case has been altered in any fashion. All I know id the original owner who flew for Lufthansa replaced the lower case from the original magnesium to this aluminum case. I am assume the top parts are the original to the 74. It would be nice to let the case go to someone who needs it for an early car and put a later 2.7 3.0 or 3.2 in. Probably need to pull the motor and get some advice. I guess these motors were not worth a lot 20 some years ago. I bought my first 1973 911 coupe for $5500 in 1994 and sold it for $6800.
