I was religious with oil changes using OEM oil every 5K. Spooked me on potential issues creeping our way, especially picking it up used and then finding out it came from NJ. Car had corrosion on nuts n bolts not common to a CA car and had been involved in a TC damaging the harmonic balancer. Ended up at the dealer more times in the first year than our 91 Acura ever did in its 355K run. Moral to our story, check the VIN, check the VIN and check the VIN....[emoji848] Fun car and handled fantastic, mileage wasn't bad either. She(me actually) tarted it up with Union Jacks, looked cool but everyone knew her car. When we sold it, everything had been sorted out and it was a good reliable little runner. I honestly thought she was going to go for another one but she threw me a curve when she opted for a Honda CR-V AWD. Then again we also sold our Toyota Sequoia at about the same time. I loved that thing, it just got crap milage economy. Guess the CR-V was a good compromise. I'm still rocking the 95 K1500.
