Then it wouldn't matter if you paint meter it. I am certainly no expert, but I see no evidence of any repairs on that panel. Unless you find some, I would call him out and ask him to be more certain than he thinks his friend might have looked at a car that might have had damage and it might be yours. Kind of a BS comment.
