Oh come on, guys! I agree it's not the "best" of ideas, but when's the last time an enthusiast operated a car company?
It's the bottom line. BMWs to Porsches in L.A. is like 12-to-1. Everyone and their mother drives a Beemer, 3-series being the most common.
As for the Cayenne, yeah, it's not a traditional Porsche, but I've sure seen a lot of them on the street around here. Looks like the company's doing well with them, at least regionally.
