If you disclose, within the auction, that there might be damage you didn't know about, that came to light during the auction, why not let it run? Won't the BAT owners help you out with that?
My car has a replaced fender. I didn't care. It was done right at the sills with all spot welds drilled out. It's a cleaner than factory repair but it is not original.
