Re Paint
I have had excellent results with POR 15, as I always remove all rust and etch with phosphoric. I have never had any lifting, and still have cars that I treated over 10 years ago.
The car is silver, which has a bad history of going "flat", which the repaint is starting to do as well. In the mid 1970's, BMW had a silver called "Polaris". Then they had "Polaris Neu".
That was followed by "Polaris Neu Neu". Maybe there was a problem with that color?
