Porsche 928S 1986 "S3"

Hello all,

So as time goes by the kids grow up and now college and all of the associated costs of two kids starting in a few short months.

Offering my 1986 Porsche 928S to Pelican Community.

* Bright red over black
* Mid-year car
* Low miles - Less than 37,000
* Rare 5-Speed Manual gearbox.
* Original factory paint
* Strong #2 condition.

Its a very original and clean car. I acquired the Porsche in 2011 and it was wearing tires on the original wheels with 1990 date. I was force to replace them when two went flat due to sidewall cracks. Have since added the 17" wheels you see in these pictures. Your wheel preference is included. OEM 15" wheels have new (2011 date) tires.

When I acquired the 928, I had two ways to go.

1. Bring it up-to-date and drive it regularly. I'm a track guy. And I knew that if I did this, it would eventually see a lot of laps around Road Atlanta along with a lot of miles. I'm not the show car type, but this car would do very in well in local shows.

2. Leave it as original as possible and do my part to keep it out of the hands of the "market" that eventually leave 'em on blocks.

I choose #2.

This 928 drives great and everything works as it should**. I drive it occasionally to keep things lubricated. Fuel is treated with stabilizer and on a battery tender in my enclosed home garage storage. I drove it last weekend.

The 928S is an original low mileage 30 year old car. So, its not up-to-date with belt service and related components. Everything else is original too. Struts, shocks bushings and the like....all original. Please don't misunderstand me, the car drives fine, but not as it would if all was refreshed to new. I did replace the spark plugs as one had failed.

** Correct Blaupunkt radio is not working
** Remote rear hatch release not working properly
** Instrument lights dimmer is worn (replaced with fuse)
** High pressure headlight washer (thinking about now, I never tried it with headlights up, so maybe it works) not operating
** Right window lift switch I little wonky. New one in package awaits replacement
** One of the air intake hoses has a crack in the "bellows" section
** Hood insulation pad has deteriorated
** Rear hatch cargo cover has aged

AC is cold and the heat and other general climate controls operate correctly.

Oops! I missed the debris on the carpets....Damn windy days!

I've looked over at Hagerty valuation tools and I think $25,000 is a good place to start. Contact me to discuss further if you have interest. Car is located in north Atlanta area suburb.
