Yes, the bottomless silt and deep sand were our nemesis. The best Carl could recall, the Rothsport car was towed out 9 times. Which left us in harm's way and the car was hit by another race car 3 times.
Needless to say lots of late nights and early mornings.

I'm very proud that the car's completed the event and we drove every single mile of the course. Though I'd met Randy a couple times before, it was great to spend the week with him.

Impressive effort all around. I'm sure by the time next year comes around you'll forget what a royal pain in the ass it all was and just remember the good parts. That's how baja works! Haha!

****** silt beds especially with a TT with 40" tires has come through it cutting nice big trenches. Poor old class 11's and now Porsche 911's. I can't wait to hear more info.
The Pinzgauer guys are all excited to hear and see more of the Pinz support truck too. I'll cross post anything from this thread into their forum.

There may always be an Porsche engine or two at the Baja, but to see it in the proper car finally is great.
